YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 15, 2015) — Mateo Hevezi’s exhibition of mystical photographs titled “AGNOSCO — Spirits Among Us” opened today at Hirarbayashi Cafe Gallery. The cozy cafe was opened in 1974 by Mr. Hirabayashi and his wife. Hirabayashi, 80, is a history photographer from Yokosuka, and has hosted countless exhibitions by photographers and other artists within his small gallery space. Hevezi, 48, is an American-born artist who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is based in Kanagawa Prefecture and premiered his latest AGNOSCO exhibit in Tokyo last year. The Hirabayashi Cafe is located directly across the street from the Keikyu Line Shioiri station and is open from 10:00AM to 7:00PM daily. The cafe will be closed April 20-22.
